The British design group Hipgnosis designed countless iconic album covers for bands like Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes, Alan Parsons Project, Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel, T. Rex etc. Most of the artwork bases on photographic groundwork. Aubrey Powell and Storm Thorgerson were the main heads behind Hipgnosis and pioneers in innovative dark room techniques like cut&paste, double exposures, montages etc.

Tonight at 7pm is the opening of the exhibition „Hipgnosis + Storm“ at Pavlov’s Dog. The gallery is a tiny place so I really wonder how they will manage it to show both – classic + new work. Next Sunday the movie Taken By Storm will be shown at Babylon cinema. Watch the trailer here.
